Family Memories
A memory box created in burr brown oak, banded in American walnut, strung in boxwood. The centre of the lid is decorated with flowers from the garden and a cuckoo, symbolic of mother's date of birth. The interior of the lid is decorated with detailed design cascading from the parameter of the banding, representing cherished parents, their characters, travels and shared family memories. The tray is constructed of favourite timbers - these being walnut, yew and laburnum. On removing the tray a wonderful sentiment is revealed. The box is traditionally hand French polished to a silky smooth beeswax finish.
