The Duke of Richmond and Gordon has kindly given his permission to host an annual Macmillan Clay Pigeon Shoot at the beautiful Goodwood Estate and Wheathills is proud to support this year’s event.
For the last thirteen years the Macmillan Chichester Committee has organised an annual clay pigeon shoot to help raise funds for this wonderful charity and this year’s event will be held on 21 September at The Goodwood Estate.
Macmillan provide expert professional care and support for people whose lives have been turned upside down by cancer. Over three counties last year, Macmillan supported 1.9 million people living with cancer and is something that they could not do without the support from their friends, businesses and volunteers around the UK.
Our talented craftspeople here at Wheathills have created a stunning trinket box that will be donated to an auction that will take place at the event. This stunning piece has a value of just over £1,000 and depicts beautiful marquetry detail to celebrate this event.
Geraldine Watts-Davies, Hon. Secretary of Macmillan Chichester Committee, helps to organise this annual event and is delighted to receive such generous support; “Since 2006 the annual clay pigeon shoot has raised over £100,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. We have been extremely fortunate to have been generously supported by businesses like Wheathills. Our gratitude to our kind donors is immense because we could not otherwise have realised so much money by other, conventional means such as public collections”.
