Military Medal
A memory box created in burr English walnut, banded in ziricote and strung to the edge in ebony. The lid is decorated with a scene from a memorable battle in which the owner David Davidson fought and for which he was awarded the Military Medal.
Decorated with the crest of the Royal Marines this box is fitted with a drawer to keep safe the Queen’s citation. The interior lid marquetry depicts a detailed image of a significant life moment: Queen Elizabeth II bestowing a medal for bravery in the field .
The interior is fitted with a walnut cover and banded in ziricote. Inlaid through the Royal Marine crest is the citation for the Military Medal. The memory box is fitted with drawers to keep safe the awarded medals.
The Box is traditionally hand French polished to a silky smooth beeswax finish.
