Borrowdale
A memory box created in butt walnut, banded with spalted beech and strung to the edge in ebony. The exterior lid is decorated with a monogram which also includes wisteria and the Lancashire Rose. The front is fitted with a handmade platinum lock and decorative key.
The interior of the lid is decorated with a micro-marquetry panel depicting the life and times of the bride so far. In the background is a view of Stonethwaite in the Lake District looking towards Borrowdale. Within the box is a special things tray having a central box and tilting lid. The timber is traditionally hand French polished to a silky smooth beeswax finish.
