St Oswald's Church

St Oswald's Church

A memory box created in burr and figured walnut, banded in makassar and strung in boxwood.

The lid is decorated with an open fan of Indian satinwood and inlaid with a monogram entwined with symbolic flowers. The interior lid of the same timber is decorated with line work of ebony and boxwood, framing a stunning inlaid image which celebrates the place of marriage, St Oswald's Church.

This memory box features two trays. The first has a tilting lid decorated with inlaid crests and a concealed drawer. The second tray is specifically fitted to keep safe a pair of antique Blue John goblets. Below this is an open space suitable to house documentation.

The Box is traditionally hand French polished to a silky smooth beeswax finish.
