A memory box of the finest butt walnut having a marquetry white rose entwined within the monogram 'MS', all encompassed with boxwood stringing to the edge.
The front is fitted with a handmade lock and key and on opening the lid, the interior of the lid is decorated with the image of a cottage recreated in marquetry to the smallest architectural detail.
The marquetry design is enclosed by boxwood stringing, yet in places trees break free into the walnut banding beyond.
Within the box is a walnut tray having a special things tray in the centre, with a tilting lid decorated with another white rose and bud.
The interior is upholstered in fine suede and the timber is traditionally hand French polished to a silky smooth beeswax finish.
The underside is upholstered in fine leather and inlaid with a marquetry lozenge depicting the Wheathills lady above the year the box was created all within a coronet.
