Games Table
Created mainly in walnut, the table has a reversible top which features to one side a leather games playing surface and on the other a chess and backgammon board inlaid into a rosewood and satinwood surface, banded to the edge with a zig-zag pattern of dyed sycamore.
The table’s border is banded in oysters of laburnum, moulded to the edge with tiger brown oak. Beneath are a pair of olive oyster veneered drawers of strung in kingswood and banded in quilted maple. The sides are of quilted maple and all is supported by turned mahogany legs with ebony turned balls. The table is designed to sit in the centre of the room, being decorated on all four sides.
